I think you will know it is a good match when the time comes
I don’t think it is good to just go by Sun signs – but overall the two signs matched in any planet can be compatible.
Also a person with their Sun in the 6th house and/or many planets in this house can also exhibit Virgo tendencies.
Virgo’s tendencies: good organization and analyzers – can be good with numbers. Down to earth but not too grounded, Good with money. Like to clean or keep things clean and in order.
Virgo’s negative tendencies- can be germophobic or slobs, constant criticizers (negative version of analyzing), controlling or cosmic bookkeepers.
I know a person with 5 planets in the 6th house (Cap) – germophobic and a little controlling to ensure things were clear, but other than that he exhibited all the positives of Virgo.

Yes! I’m a Virgo (on a cusp with Libra), and my bf is a Taurus. We were high school sweethearts and we lost touch, but got back together years later and have been going strong ever since!
You are both earth signs which means you have alot of common ground. Virgos are usually the thinkers in the relationship, they like to have a plan for everything, and weigh out every option with tremendous insight and calculation.
