Bill Nye, you’re a loser. You’re not fun-loving, nor sexy, so you must be a Virgo!! Ha! Just kidding. You’re probably a Taurus, because you’re stubborn…stubborn enough to believe Astrology is just some made-up belief. YOU’RE AN IDIOT!!!

I don’t know about any astrologer who says you have your sun in the constellation of…, but then again there’s people who’ve studied the subject for years and there’s people who’ve just started to study it, you can’t expect them to be all that good. Lots of them will be ready to learn when you correct them.
Those who are not prepared to learn probably know everything already, and so they will tell you that you are stupid and they are smart.

If there weren’t any stupid self-proclaimed “astrologers” saying things like “you have the Sun in the CONSTELLATION of…”, people might not care about an equally stupid video like this.
Then again, if Bill Nye had spent more than 5 minutes researching the subject, he’d know actual astrologers never refer to CONSTELLATIONS… and never did to begin with.
Ironically, the people who watch the video buy into it with the same gullibility they acuse “astrology-believers” to have. Pot, kettle…

Add the deed to the words, or it won’t make any sense.

“If physical facts are the only truth, everything you say means nothing.”
Then I must bow to your great expertise in the area of meaningless statements.

In the eyes of science, astrology becomes irrelevant. In the eyes of blue, yellow becomes green.

I don’t find it hard to believe that the sun affects me. It allows my body to synthesize its own vitamin D, for example. But that can be demonstrated. It cannot be demonstrated that the position of the sun is a good indicator about whether I’m going to score after a night in a bar next weekend.
The only way that something that predates me by 4.5 billion years could control my fate is if this control is an ongoing, physical fact. Astrology is thus as ‘godless’ as conventional science.

If you want someone who can show you how to bring ‘Real Magic’ into your life, check out Julian Lee, Master Locational Astrologer. I’ve lived his research, and I’ve got photos to prove it, and everlasting memories to be thankful for it. Astrology is real, as the air we breathe, and for those who can understand it, is the golden keys of Spirit, Light, and being.

If you would believe the universe is pure randomness, you would find it hard to believe that even the sun affects you. If you would believe the universe is guided by something intelligent, let’s call it true love for instance, then perhaps it might appear at once in front of your own eyes. Then who’s proof of what would you still want to see?
Being scientifically orientated trial and error can’t be that hard.

I see so stars thousands of light years away affect my future and personality? Oh and what about new discoveries? Do pulsars, Black Holes and Super Nova affect me too? what about the planetoids at the edge of our solar system? The Planets round other stars will they help me find true love? Science works because we will not be guided by faith alone. We demand the truth naked, and exposed. If Astrology is truth show us and leave no doubt. Prove to us its worth or leave it in the past

Astrology has a basis in the rational. Astrology has structure, interconnected parts and a set or rules that show how the parts are connected. These thoughts are based upon principles of hierarchy and alternation, of time-free association, sign and meaning, and not chronological cause and effect. The knowlede gained over the last 4,000 years becomes meaningless in the face of science. We got to this point of not knowing and we lost a lot along the way.

“Tormentor of the irrational”
Is this supposed to be humanism in its full glory? Is this being a reasonable person?
Tell me, if astrology is irrelevant in the eyes of science, yet you spend your life fighting something that according to you doesn’t exist, what’s rational about that?
Are you going to stay in this classroom for the rest of your life?
By zzytrewq on Nov 21, 2008 | Reply
I agree “The knowlede [sic] gained over the last 4,000 years becomes meaningless in the face of science”. I assume you are referring to astrology.
Astrology is not a monkey on the back of science. Astrology is irrelevant in the eyes of science. Until astrologers are able to demonstrate their claims it will remain that way.
By camij79 on Nov 23, 2008 | Reply
Why has astrology remained a monkey on the back of science for so long? - as this video remains proof thereof. No matter how much science tears nature apart in an attempt to make the world knowable with simple rules governing the behaviour of matter and the universe nothing can be proven or justified - faith will always guide its way. The knowlede gained over the last 4,000 years becomes meaningless in the face of science. We got to this point of not knowing and we lost a lot along the way.

Yeah you sleep in and willingly and ignore evidence that disproves your irrational belief in astrology. All because the night before, you had a big night lying to people about astrology and reading people’s tarot cards.
Such stubborn behavior from you ,Tommy. If you weren’t as close minded you could start having valid beliefs with evidences backing it as an example the valid belief that astrology is bullshit.

There is absolutely no proof whatsoever that the big system (say the universe, or the planets) affects the parts of the microcosm (say humans) as suggested by you types.
There are complexities in the human condition(?) but what on earth (great pun intended) has that got to do with the universe or whatever you class as the macrocosm?
“No wonder there exists a subject that brings the two together - what idiot would not over time?” Grammatically is still shite.
By camij79 on Dec 2, 2008 | Reply
You say my words are gibberish so in your thinking you think it is wrong? What is vague and cloudy about two systems influencing each other when science says that is so. What two big systems in our experience do not impact on one another? If you value the compexities of the human condition then you must account for those complexities in the other big systems. My reference to idiot was generic and not personal to you.’Why did little jack horner sit in the corner? - because he had a square arse’.
By zzytrewq on Dec 5, 2008 | Reply
I still have no idea what you are prattling on about, you make it sound as if I have taken a stance and you think it is wrong.
I am simply saying what you are saying is gibberish and I can’t see what it has to do with anything.
Your use of the English language is vague and cloudy as if you think it makes you sound deep and meaningful. Quite the opposite. My drug/alcohol references are to your shite grammar. “…what idiot would not over time?” Now tell me that makes sense, and lighten up.
